Covid-19 Related Questions

If you are unable to travel to attend any event due to:

  • A company travel ban
  • Self-isolation or shielding based on guidance issued by the Government

then your ticket can be transferred to another event of your choosing run by Global Insight Conferences Ltd within the next 12 months.  Please note that no refunds will be given if the new booking is a lower value than the original and if the new booking is of a higher value, the difference will have to be paid.  Alternatively, you can transfer to the same event taking place the following year at no additional cost, despite any inflation or price increases that may occur.

Unfortunately, refunds will not be possible and all outstanding invoices must still be paid in full by the original conference date.  Please request your transfer as soon as possible and at least 3 days before the event is due to take place, otherwise unfortunately, we will no longer be able to transfer you.

The below policy applies if you are travelling within the UK or from another country into UK, or to a Global Insight Conferences Ltd event taking place in Europe.

Postponement, Virtualisation & Cancellation

If Global Insight Conferences Ltd postpones or virtualises an event, the fee will be credited towards the rescheduled date or another conference, refunds will not be possible and all outstanding invoices must still be paid in full. If you wish to cancel a ticket on an event that has been postponed, the cancellation terms outlined below still stand, but in relation to the original date of the event.

If Global Insight Conferences Ltd cancels an event, the fee will be credited towards another industry-related event within the next 12 months. This credit will be available for up to 12 months from the original conference date. Refunds will not be possible and all outstanding invoices must still be paid in full.

Bookings

Payment is due on submission of your booking.

All orders placed either: on our online booking pages, via email, on the brochures’ booking forms or over the telephone, will all be followed up with an official booking confirmation email. All such orders are legally-binding and carry a 100% liability immediately after receipt of order and payment is due in full.

VAT is still chargeable on foreign companies attending conferences in the UK and must be paid at the prevailing rate on UK events. If attending an event not being held in the UK, then the VAT rate of the country where the event is taking place will be added to your ticket price and requires payment.

All bank and transfer fees must be covered by the company attending the conference.

All registrations for UK conferences are subject to a 3% booking fee. Conference taking place in Europe are subject to 4% booking fee.

Global Insight Conferences Ltd reserves the right to decline any booking and make any alteration to the speaker panel, programme, date and venue.

Attendance & Payment

If you attend an event and have not yet paid the entirety of your invoice, you will be asked to guarantee your payment with a credit card in order to enter the conference rooms. Your invoice must be settled immediately after the event and, if not, then payment will be taken from the card details given on the day.

Should you not attend a conference you have booked a ticket for, you still remain liable for the sums due and full payment will still be required immediately. Once this payment has been received, you shall then be given access to the speaker presentations that we have permission to share from the event.

We reserve the right to eject you from an event without any prior notice or refund if your behaviour is disruptive, offensive, dangerous or illegal.

Cancellation Process

Cancellations received in writing within 40 working days before the original conference date cannot be refunded and full payment is still due, although a replacement delegate will always be welcome. This is due to the way in which we are charged by our suppliers as costs have already been incurred by this stage.

Cancellations received in writing 40 working days or more before the original conference date will receive a full refund, minus an administration charge of £149 +VAT per ticket.

If payment has not yet been made and cancellations are received in writing 40 working days or more before the original conference date, the £149 +VAT per ticket administration charge is still due.

Global Insight Conferences Ltd cannot reimburse any travel, accommodation or other expenses under any circumstances.

If you wish to cancel a ticket on an event that has been postponed, the cancellation terms outlined below still stand, but in relation to the original date of the event.
