Supported Charities & Projects

At Global Insight Conferences, we are not only passionate about producing quality events, but also about making a difference in our wider community and world. Since the company was founded 9 years ago, Global Insight Conferences has strived to help and contribute to a growing number and range of truly wonderful charities. Here is a little more about some of the charities we currently support and the incredible work they do.

The A21 Campaign operates in 11 different countries and aims to tackle and abolish human trafficking. Slavery exists today and is the second largest source of illegal income worldwide, exceeded only by drugs trafficking. People are trafficked into prostitution, begging, forced labour, military service, domestic servitude, forced illegal adoption and forced marriage.

Vision Rescue seeks to empower and aid individuals living in slum communities in Mumbai. With 23 million people in the capital city, over half of these occupy slums and a shocking 70% of the children are uneducated, malnourished and exposed to risk.

Anthony Nolan is a UK charity working to help individuals with leukaemia and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. The organisation also carries out research to help make bone marrow transplants more effective. Today the trust register has over 500,000 potential donors on it and helps 3 people each day find a lifesaving match.

Children with Cancer UK is dedicated to improve survival rates and quality of survival in young cancer patients and to find and reduce the causes of cancer. Every day more than 10 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer in the UK. Children with Cancer UK actively raise and invest money for specialist research to save the life of every child and keep their family together.

For nearly 60 years, WWF has been protecting the future of nature. WWF works in 100 countries and is supported by close to five million members globally. WWF's unique way of working ensures the delivery of innovative solutions that meet the needs of both people and nature. At Global Insight Conferences we purchase our speaker gifts from the WWF online shop, thus funding the works of this wonderful charity.

Shooting Star Chase are a leading children's hospice caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families. They help over 700 families facing truly unimaginable circumstances from diagnosis to end of life care and throughout bereavement with a range of practical, emotional and medical care.

Spread Some Sunshine is run by 5 trustees. Together they try to make a difference and to brighten up the lives of impoverished children all over the world (as well as doing their day jobs!) Projects have included: a minibus in Ghana, desks for a school in Kenya, music therapy for Morgan Bishop in Tadworth, birthday sponsorship schemes, beds and sheets for an orphanage in Accra, days out for children in impoverished countries, colour therapy workshops, clothes and toys for disadvantaged children and a HIV mothers’ home in India.

GIC have participated in the Samaritan's Purse Operational Christmas Child since 2016. This appeal has been operated by Samaritan’s Purse since 1990, and has meant that over 124 million impoverished children from 150 different countries have received a shoebox full of presents to celebrate the joy of Christmas.

"We want to say a HUGE thank you for your generosity to A21 and for choosing to come alongside us in the fight for freedom! We have seen 128 people set free this year and we could not have done it without you. Thank you for being a crucial part of this journey!"
